Updated 4/03/2020 11:30 a.m. Harnett County Economic Development, with support from many partners, is compiling resources for businesses amid the COVID-19 outbreak. This page will be updated as additional resources become available.

Harnett County Government

Harnett County Government will be posting news releases and other public information related to COVID-19 on the County's Public Information page. Daily updated news releases will be posted around 5:00 p.m.

Manufacturers Pivoting to Personal Protective Equipment

If you have capacity or a product you can make to help meet critical needs please register at NC Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

Manufacturers interested in pivoting to PPE (gowns, masks, gloves, etc.) can contact the Carolina Textile District (CTD) for help in transitioning their production to prototype and producing medical supplies during the COVID-19 crisis.

SBA Small Business Guidance and Loan Resources

Overview SBA Emergency Loans 

Small business in North Carolina are eligible to apply for a low-interest loan due to COVID-19. Learn more at SBA Business Guidance and Loan Resources. The SBA has streamlined its Economic Injury Disaster Loan application. All businesses are eligible. 

Golden LEAF Foundation NC COVID-19 Rapid Recovery for Small Business

This new GLF product is a rapid recovery loan designed to provide businesses with needed capital. The process is expected to be completed in 4 days. Easy online application at GoldenLEAF NC COVID-19 Rapid Recovery Loan Program

Unemployment Insurance in North Carolina

North Carolina has made changes to the Unemployment System due to the current impacts of COVID-19. Employers and individual can review updates at NC Dept of Commerce Employment Security.
