Harnett County Government’s Parks & Recreation Department, in collaboration with the individual municipalities, provides families with a diverse range of public programs, group activities, and events to enjoy.

Prominent outdoor attractions within the County include Raven Rock State Park and the Cape Fear River. Raven Rock State Park offers opportunities for hiking, fishing, and camping, while the Cape Fear River invites visitors to enjoy kayaking, canoeing, tubing, and more! 

Additionally, Harnett County offers unique golfing experiences with its scenic courses catering to players of all skill levels. With beautifully maintained fairways and varying layouts, these golf courses provide a perfect blend of challenge and relaxation amidst the County's scenic landscapes.
